A lover of stories and all things story-telling, Kaitlyn has used many mediums throughout her life and career.

She began her journey as a journalism student at Purdue, where she was a backpack journalist, producer and writer through the university's news programs. She learned to shoot, edit and distribute short films, commercials, corporate advertisements and news pieces, as well as managing a team of journalists. She has experience working collaboratively with clients as well as coming up with her own creative.

After graduating, Kaitlyn moved to Los Angeles to pursue work in the entertainment industry. Having spent the last seven years of her career working in the camera department, assisting and operating on over forty productions, Kaitlyn finds absolute comfort behind the lens. She has been a camera operator on many programs, including the Emmy Award Winning "Lizzo's Big Grrrls" for Amazon Prime, as well as "Making The Cut", "RuPaul's Drag Race", "Baking It" and "Bling Empire". She has camera experience in documentary, unscripted reality, narrative and live/talk shows. Her work has been seen on major broadcast, cable and streaming networks including NBC, FOX, HBO, Bravo, The CW, TBS, E!, Hallmark, MTV, Lifetime, The Cooking Network, Netflix, Amazon, Bravo, Facebook, and more.

 

In addition to being a writer and camera operator, Kaitlyn is also a photographer, working with both film and digital. She has an extensive portfolio, with some of her work displayed here. Prints are available for purchase by request.
